London (Web Desk) Britain has announced initial plans under the initiative to increase climate finance support for Pakistan.
After the devastating floods in Pakistan, another important initiative of the UK in the context of climate change is climate finance support for Pakistan. According to the British High Commission, seven innovative low-carbon projects across Pakistan are part of the initiative. In the first initiative for Pakistan, 7 projects were selected from more than 50 applications.
These projects include energy, transport, agriculture and forestry, waste, e-mobility, industrial, manufacturing sectors. According to the British High Commission, all projects will be given key support in February 2023. Each project includes an analysis of individual needs, financial, technical, gender equality, social inclusion.
The projects also include issues of attracting investment. Projects related to pollution reduction, employment opportunities, energy access, waste management, e-mobility, gender equality, social inclusion will benefit the local population across Pakistan. The UK’s move to increase climate finance support for Pakistan is under the Paris Agreement.
